Sigma 28-105mm f/2.8-4 Aspherical IF
10 out of 10 points and recommendedSmall size, Fast F/2.8 at 28mm, 8 blade apature, Very Sharp through zoom range. (better than my 28-200 Tamron LD ASPH IF !) Focus is fast, even lower light with assist lamp. Solid feel, and tight zoom and MF rings. Not F/2.8 from 28-105. But on a aps-c camera, a 168mm F/4 ain't bad!Pro: Small size, Fast F/2.8 at 28mm, 8 blade apature, Very Sharp through zoom range. (better than my 28-200 Tamron LD ASPH IF !) I got this lens for studio and home candids of my son. I am not at all disapointed. This lens is the same as the DG lens as far as lens construction. The DG may have a little beter correction, but I use this on Canon D60, and it has great proformance. . For a new price of $150-170. you can't go wrong. I don't know if the DG version is really an upgrade or just a re-lable. but I don't see spending the extra $30-50 for proformance on an already great proformer. not an "L" But way above the typical consumer quailty on my copy.
