Adobe Three-peats Software Honors at PMA

LAS VEGAS -- Adobe Systems Incorporated announced today that three Adobe digital imaging products received top industry recognition in the esteemed Excellence in Imaging Awards for the third year in a row. Adobe® Photoshop® 5.5 captured the title of Best Professional Imaging Editing Software in the annual awards ceremony, which honors the best in digital imaging technologies. Adobe ActiveShare® and ActiveShare.com, a complete Web and software solution for sharing photos, won the title of Best Digital Imaging Site or Service. Adobe PhotoDeluxe® 3.0 was a finalist in the category of Best Consumer Image Editing Software.

The Third Annual Excellence in Imaging Awards are co-sponsored by DigitalFocus, publishers of a leading digital imaging newsletter and Popular Science magazine, the world's largest science and technology magazine. The highly coveted awards ceremony is an integral part of DigitalFocus 2000, the premier digital imaging technology showcase, held on Feb. 2. The DigitalFocus event is followed by the opening of PMA (Photo Marketing Association) 2000, the leading photo and imaging trade show, on Feb. 3.

Competition among products in each of the 13 categories has increased along with the explosion of interest in digital imaging technology in both consumer and professional markets. Categories span the range of digital imaging, from Best Entry-level Digital Camera to Best Business Color Printer.

"Having several Adobe imaging products win the Excellence in Imaging Awards for the third year in a row underscores Adobe's commitment to innovation in the digital imaging market," said Bruce Chizen, Adobe's executive vice president, worldwide products and marketing. "Adobe's family of digital imaging products will continue to mature and define the digital imaging market."
