PRESS RELEASE: SiPix Introduces 3.3 Mega Pixel Still Camera With Digital Video for $199
The SC-3300 is the Perfect Everyday Digital Camera; Features a Cool Video Movie Mode and Captures Vibrant Digital Pictures
PHOTOKINA, COLOGNE, Germany, Sept. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- SiPix debuted today its new SC-3300, a 3.3 Mega Pixel digital still and video camera, at a price that rivals the competition's 2 Mega Pixel cameras. At the unheard of price of only $199.99, the stylish new SiPix digital camera is loaded with features found on more expensive digital cameras. SiPix will demonstrate the product at the Photokina Trade Show, September 25-30, 2002, Hall 3.1, booth #N8/P8.
Available in time for the Holiday Season, the compact SC-3300 is a 3.3 Mega Pixel camera that can capture both still images and video, features a large 1.6-inch color LCD for picture and video preview and playback, a 3X digital zoom, 16 megabytes of internal memory and a CompactFlash slot for additional memory, Movie mode for recording video up to 15 fps, a macro lens for tight close up shots, continuous-shot mode for capturing up to 4 images in rapid succession, four-mode flash (auto, on, off and red-eye reduction), and a convenient self timer.
"SiPix is resetting customer expectations by offering higher resolution, easier to use and more solutions-driven digital cameras at prices that rival lower performing products from other camera manufacturers. The SC-3300 is perfect for consumers who want to upgrade to a 3.3 MP digital camera," said Michael Weizer, director of product marketing for SiPix. "Consumers want the most bang for their buck and the SC-3300 will appeal to everyone looking for an everyday digital camera because of the expansive feature-set, low price and the really cool digital video mode."
In addition, the SC-3300 includes the SiPix USB Mass Storage feature that allows users direct access to the images stored on their camera. Traditionally, the TWAIN interface has required a series of steps needed to gain access to the images. Now using the SiPix Camera Wizard application, Windows 98, 98SE, 2000, ME and XP users can use their camera like a hard drive. They can quickly transfer images from the SC-3300 to their computer without the need of a third party TWAIN application.
