APM 7.0 Kiosk Software, White Screen “Scene Me” Technology and Coordinated Social Expression Products Receive Awards

VIENNA, Va. -- (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Lucidiom today announced the company has been honored with DIMA Innovative Digital Product Awards for all three Lucidiom products entered in this year’s competition – the Lucidiom “Scene Me” white screen technology, Lucidiom EQ coordinated social expression products and Lucidiom APM 7.0 kiosk software. All of the award-winning products can be experienced in Lucidiom’s booth (Q180) at the Photo Marketing Association (PMA) tradeshow, which runs March 3-5, at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Similar to the green screen used in the movie industry, Lucidiom’s Scene Me is a unique white screen application for the APM kiosk that allows consumers to put themselves in a variety of scenes depending on the content offered by the retailer. A customer visiting a Lucidiom APM now might choose to create a custom comic strip by placing their child’s photo within a licensed Marvel Comics scene or next to Hannah Montana on stage. Their image might also appear with a holiday character like the Easter Bunny or on location in front of the Capitol or Eiffel Tower. The consumer simply brings in her own photo or has one taken on-site in front of a white passport screen and the APM does the rest.

Lucidiom also received an award for the Lucidiom EQ coordinated social expression products, which include gift wrap, note cards, folded cards, invitations, banners, posters, photo books and covers, proof books, notepads and envelopes. Lucidiom is the only retail imaging company to offer a wrapping paper template for photo kiosks and such an extensive, coordinated paper product line that can be produced all in one single kiosk order. The suggested up-sell of coordinating products and design theme also is unique to Lucidiom.

Commenting on the products, Lucidiom President Steve Giordano, Jr., said, “Lucidiom’s coordinated social expression products are the ‘Do you want fries with that?’ of the photo industry. With all the Long Tail possibilities of the personal publishing world, even retailers that market their products well often struggle with letting consumers know about all the creative possibilities. Now, we’ve built the coordinated product suggestion right into the APM order process, so when a customer orders the ‘Happy Birthday’ photo wrapping paper, she is automatically offered a matching birthday card and envelope to go along with it. Customers don’t miss a hot product and retailers don’t miss out on the additional sale.”

Lucidiom’s latest kiosk software version, APM 7.0, also received a DIMA Award. The new version features instant photo uploads from the in-store kiosk to the customer’s Photo Finale Web account, as well as the new retailer up-sell engine and a redesigned Product Finder. As with all Lucidiom products, APM 7.0 is flexible, open and brand neutral; the photo retailer’s brand is front and center and the technology works with legacy equipment and third-party printers. The software is being demonstrated in Lucidiom’s PMA booth (Q180) and will ship this spring.
