Japanese camera manufacturer opens the pre-PMA announcements with a teaser for its latest SuperCCD-based digicam model...

Fuji Japan has today lifted the curtains just slightly for a peek at its latest digital camera, based on a new third-generation SuperCCD imager. A teaser on its Japanese-language FinePix.com website discloses only that the new camera will use the so-called SuperCCD III imager, and that it will feature 'Candleshot' (high sensitivity for low-light shots), 'Speedsnap' (high speed for freezing fast action) and 'Motionphoto' (high quality video) modes.

The teaser clip promises further information on this new camera on January 30th. A page linked from the teaser, meanwhile, looks to be a sweepstakes for three Japanese visitors to win the new camera once it is released - and this appears to suggest that the product will be available towards the end of February.

Stay tuned for further info on Fuji's new camera just as soon as we can tell you more...
