Twelve (!) new Polaroid digicams at CES By

(Friday, January 17, 2003 - 17:03 EST)Spectra Merchandising International, the Chicago-based importer which has the rights to the Polaroid brandname for digital camera products, gets the record for most simultaneous digital camera announcements at CES with a whopping twelve new cameras.
The twelve cameras break down into three separate families - three are additions to the Cool-iCam series, four make up a new "iON" camera line, and the remainder fill out the existing lineup of PhotoMAX cameras. (Of these last, we are missing specifications for one camera that didn't make it into the press kit, but is on the price list). Specifications and pricing info for all of the new cameras, along with our exclusive photos for those models which were on display, follow. Note that most of these cameras were mockups - some being metal blocks, and others being actual camera cases with no internals (and in the case of one camera, with a dial missing from the top).:

Finally, one last announcement which didn't seem to be on display or in the press kit, but which is mentioned in the price sheet is the Polaroid PDC 2050. This is apparently a 2.1 megapixel camera with LCD display, and will cost $219.99. Availability has not yet been disclosed.
