Sony releases Cyber-shot DSC-V1 firmware

Sony USA has posted a new version of firmware on its website for the Cyber-shot DSC-V1 digital camera.
The company says that v2.0 of the DSC-V1 firmware has only one change - the addition of four languages to the menu system on top of the current English and French. German / Spanish / Italian / Portuguese speakers can obtain the firmware from Sony's site if they wish to have their language on the camera's menus.
As always with firmware upgrades, be sure to read and follow the manufacturer-provided instructions carefully. Done correctly, firmware updates are generally a simple process - but if you don't follow the instructions, you risk turning your camera into an expensive paperweight.
