Hitachi announces entry-level ultracompact By
Michael R. Tomkins, The Imaging Resource (Tuesday, April 26, 2005 - 20:30 EDT)Hitachi Japan has announced a new digital camera which replaces its existing HDC-301SLIM model.
The Hitachi i.mega HDC-302SLIM is an entry-level fixed focus, fixed focal length camera with a 3.1 megapixel CMOS imager, interpolated to a rather overoptimistic 8.0 megapixels. (You could almost certainly attain equal or better results performing the interpolation on a computer, but with interpolation this strong, the results are likely to be pretty blurry regardless of how the interpolation is done). Other features of the camera include a 2.0 LCD display, two-mode flash, 16MB of built-in memory, and SD card slot.
The Hitachi HDC-302SLIM will ship in Japan from May 13th, with pricing not disclosed at this time.
