DXG USA, the United States subsidiary of Taiwanese digicam manufacturer DXG Technology Corporation, has announced a new model available immediately for $199.

The DXG Model 528 digital camera features a resolution of five megapixels, coupled with an smc Pentax-branded 3x optical zoom lens. Other features include a 2.4" low-temperature polysilicon LCD display, ISO sensitivity range from 100 - 400, shutter speeds from 8 - 1/2000 second, six-mode flash, USB and video connectivity, SD/MMC and 32MB built-in memory, and power from two AA alkaline batteries. DXG USA Moves Upscale with a New 5.1 Megapixel Digital Camera; The DXG-528 provides a 2.4-inch LCD Screen, 3X Pentax Optical Zoom, Slim Metal Body and Built-in MP3 Player

CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 24, 2005--DXG USA has announced the availability of the DXG-528, a premium 5.1 megapixel CCD digital camera designed for step-up camera buyers looking for enhanced features and photographic quality without the high cost.

The DXG-528 features a slim aluminum housing, impressive 2.4" LTPS LCD screen, Pentax(R) 3X optical zoom (with three aspherical lenses), built-in 32MB flash memory, SD/MMC card slot, MPEG-4 video with sound and Direct Print capability. The camera also offers voice recorder and MP3 functionality, as well as TV-Out capability for viewing pictures on a television. Other customer-friendly features include a real image optical viewfinder and the ability to be powered by two alkaline AA batteries. The DXG-528 is available immediately with an MSRP of $199.
