PRESS RELEASE: Mac Photo-Sharing Utility PictureSync V1.6 Released
PictureSync version 1.6 introduces reliability and functional enhancements including a fully Universal build, geocoding with Google Earth, support for Lightroom, and updated support for Aperture. As with prior versions its features may be used free or purchased for $14.

Since its introduction PictureSync has aided pro photographers and home users alike in uploading almost two million photos. A Windows version is under development with an anticipated launch in time for Christmas. Many further enhancements are now planned for both releases, the company said.
PictureSync is a convenient utility that simplifies annotating and sharing photographs and video clips. With a click, you can upload to online galleries, photoblogs and print services while preserving your valuable metadata. You can use PictureSync with any picture file, in iPhoto, iView MediaPro, Aperture, or other applications such as Adobe Lightroom and Bridge. It's designed for beginners and advanced photo-users alike having both easy functionality and advanced workflow customisation.
PictureSync features an integrated (IPTC/XMP) annotation editor for easy editing and preservation of captions and keywords, that can also be searched with Spotlight. Other features include color conversion for better online reproduction, resizing for faster uploads, auto-rotation, powerful metadata customisation and rules, and direct support for service specific-features such as albums and tagging.
