DivePhotoGuide contest results, Explorers Club dinner

The good folks over at DivePhotoGuide.com have been in touch with news of some interesting updates to their site.
DivePhotoGuide founder and avid underwater photographer Jason Heller and wife Wendy were priveliged to attend the 104th annual Explorers' Club dinner, held at the Waldorf Astoria hotel in New York. Jason's article covering the event makes for interesting and thought-provoking read (and a veritable Who's Who of explorers, photographers, and other assorted celebrities.) The squeamish may want to swiftly scroll past pictures of the foodstuffs on offer, though. Apparently explorers like their meals to contain plenty of insect life! ;)
A separate article details the results of the Wetpixel & DivePhotoGuide International Underwater Photo & Video Competition, held in association with Our World Underwater. Twenty eight images and two videos made the cut, with Best of Show going to Borut Furlan of Slovenia for his image "Shark & Diver".
All of the winning images and videos can be seen on UnderwaterCompetition.com, the official website of the contest. Anybody considering entering next year's contest will want to read over the Judges Statement near the end for tips as to common issues with the submissions received this year.
