PRESS RELEASE: Smartparts Announces World’s Largest WiFi Enabled Digital Picture Frame Integrated with Windows Live Photo Gallery
The 32 Inch SP3200WF Can Receive Images from Windows Live Photo Gallery and Display Customized RSS Feeds
PHOTOKINA 2008 - Cologne, Germany (September 23, 2008) – Smartparts, Inc., a leading manufacturer and innovator driving the explosive digital picture frame market, today unveiled the world’s largest WiFi digital picture frame, the 32 inch SP3200WF. The most recent addition to Smartparts’ new family of wireless digital picture frames, the SP3200WF is fully compatible with Windows Live Photo Gallery and will undoubtedly be the center of attention wherever it’s displayed.
Smartparts recently became a certified Microsoft partner and the new SP3200WF is among Smartparts’ first frames to integrate with Windows Live Photo Gallery. Microsoft’s Windows Live Photo Gallery application makes it easy for consumers to share and view photos online or directly on their wireless SP3200WF digital picture frame.
“Smartparts is proud to bring WiFi capability to the SP3200,” said Stefan Guelpen, president and co-founder of Smartparts. “When we first introduced the SP3200 to the world at the 2008 Consumer Electronics Show, a new standard was set in both engineering and design, something by which all manufacturers would be measured. The frame received a lot of praise and was well accepted by the market - we expect the same positive reception to the SP3200WF with its new wireless functionality.”
Featuring a resolution of 1366x768, the SP3200WF’s 16:9 widescreen LCD is surrounded by a beautiful beige museum quality mat and natural wood frame with an espresso finish. In addition to displaying digital images in remarkable clarity, the frame can also playback video with sound, including Motion JPEG AVI and WMA files.
Adding to the ease-of-use provided by the SP3200WF is a simplified set up process that allows consumers to pair the frame to their wireless network. The SP3200WF can automatically recognize and connect to a wireless router, allowing users to skip the complicated process of having to manually enter their router’s wireless encryption key on the frame. With an operating range of over 100 feet, the included RF remote also gives consumers the ability to navigate through the SP3200WF’s graphical user interface and change settings from a significant distance – a useful feature especially if the frame is mounted high or not within reach.
The SP3200WF accepts all types of memory cards, including Memory Stick (MS), Secure Digital (SD) and Compact Flash (CF). Included with the SP3200WF, is Smartparts’ exclusive OptiPix Pro software, which is designed to help consumers locate, optimize and wirelessly transfer pictures to their frame from their computer, all in just three easy-to-follow steps. Furthermore, OptiPix Pro will not alter consumers’ original photos. OptiPix Pro first creates copies which are then optimized and transferred to the frame, leaving the original, untouched photo residing on the computer. OptiPix Pro also gives users the ability to convert and transfer PowerPoint slides, PDF files, and most picture and graphic files directly to the SP3200WF, a useful feature especially for business or retail applications.
The 32 inch SP3200WF will be available through specialty retailers nationwide. For additional information, please visit www.smartpartsproducts.com.
