With Partnership, For The First Time Ever, Professional Photographers Now Empowered And Equipped To Sell Digital Photos And Products

AUSTIN, TX–November 18, 2008–Two industry-leading solutions for the professional photographer have codified a stronger technological partnership by jointly announcing the first and only solution designed to increase profits and client offerings by allowing photographers the ability to own the sale and distribution of professional digital photos.

Digital Delivery, utilized online via PhotoReflect.com© and via localized CD/DVD printing with DARKROOM© software, is set to revolutionize the digital photography community by empowering photographers to price, manage and sell digital copies alongside prints and other image-embedded products.

“Although related to the same parent company, DARKROOM and PhotoReflect organizations have often sought new ways to incorporate offerings in order to serve professional photographers as a single, one-stop solution,” explains Rod Whisnant, PhotoReflect’s Vice President of Development. Digital Delivery has been designed to cement this relationship with better platforms and coordination between DARKROOM Web (a free version of the workflow software created explicitly for PhotoReflect users) and PhotoReflect storefronts (a free website generator for photographers to publish and sell work online). As a result, PhotoReflect customers can use Darkroom Web to price, enhance and publish digital products with built-in protections and delivery mechanisms; While, DARKROOM 8.9 users (including DARKROOM Core, Professional, and Assembly version owners) can publish to a PhotoReflect account with more ease and create CDs and DVDs complete with dynamic presentations, personalized graphics, and more, with an improved interface. The end-result: A solution created at the request of professional photographers to ensure profitability as the “digital revolution” continues to change the market.
