Smilebox Customers Now Can Print From 900 Designs to Pay and Pickup in Store Within an Hour

REDMOND, WA--(Marketwire - November 23, 2009) - Smilebox Inc., a leading photo services company, announced today its customers can now print directly to any Walmart or Sam's Club in the United States from within the Smilebox service, then pay and pick up prints at their local store in as little as an hour. The direct-to-store printing lets customers select from any of the service's 900 designs, including 5x7 and 6x8 holiday cards and invitations with envelopes. The new feature is available to customers of both the free and premium Smilebox services.

The Smilebox direct-to-store printing service offers a wide selection of greeting cards and invitations designed by leading artists for a variety of occasions, including holiday and birthday. Customers can also create and print projects such as scrapbook pages, collages and calendars in 6x8 and 8x8 formats to preserve as keepsakes or share with others for gift giving. All projects are lab-quality printed on Fuji photo paper.

"IDC's research indicates consumers are embracing a variety of custom photo printing products and services, and are expecting flexibility in how, where and when they order their prints. The partnership Smilebox has with some of the biggest retailers in the U.S. indicates the company is well-positioned to meet this demand," said Chris Chute, manager of IDC's Digital Imaging Practice.

"Our customers wanted to easily order prints of Smilebox creations for pick up at their local retailer. With the addition of print-to-store flexibility, we've given our customers another option for sharing their creations that is as easy as printing at home," said Andrew Wright, Smilebox founder and CEO.

This week, Smilebox also introduced customized services for customers of both Walmart and Sam's Club. Customers who order CDs with their print orders will receive a co-branded version of Smilebox complete with 15 premium designs (a $50 value). The co-branded services and offer are also available via the stores' web sites at www.smilebox.com/walmart for Walmart customers and www.samsclub.com/smilebox for members of Sam's Club.

Smilebox lets customers quickly turn life's moments into digital creations to share with others or to save. Smilebox users can choose any design, print to retail, email or post to Facebook for free. For $1.99 to $3.99 customers can purchase and own premium designs to print at home, save to digital photo frames, get more music choices, and share full screen without ads. Customers can also subscribe to Club Smilebox for $5.99/month or $39.99/year for unlimited use of premium designs as well as the ability to burn their Smilebox creations to DVD or save video files to an iTouch or iPhone. Smilebox is available for the PC and Mac platforms.
