Many New Enhancements to Corel’s High-Speed Video Editing Software Including Extended Camera Support and Performance Upgrades
Ottawa, ON - June 14, 2010 -- Corel Corporation today announced the introduction of a free update for Corel® VideoStudio® Pro X3. This new update builds on the established strengths of VideoStudio Pro X3 in speed and creative effects, adding high-speed GPU- and multicore acceleration for video color correction, plus extended support for MPEG4 cameras. Customers also receive Corel® DVD Movie Factory™ 7 SE for advanced DVD authoring and burning, now fully integrated and accessible from Corel VideoStudio Pro X3.
"With VideoStudio Pro X3, we're committed to continuously setting new benchmarks for speed and performance in enthusiast video editing software," said Jan Piros who leads Product Management for Corel VideoStudio Pro. "X3's performance has been very well received and that's motivated us to keep pushing VideoStudio further in terms of performance and creative potential. This team is driven to find new ways to improve how you edit video."
Highlights of the new capabilities introduced in this update:
New! High Speed Color Correction – New multicore- and GPU-optimized color correction tools provide VideoStudio Pro X3 with a new engine that adjusts and enhances color in real time. Color correction can now be done at speeds previously expected from only professional tools;

Updated Camera Support – Broadened MPEG4 capabilities add support for additional cameras including select models from Flip, Canon and more.
