The Samsung ST93 looks to be very closely related to the existing ST90 model, but with a few minor tweaks. The ST93's body design has been subtly updated, with more gently rounded edges. The ST93 also replaces its sibling's 14 megapixel image sensor with an ever-so-slightly higher resolution 16 megapixel chip.
The ST93's design looks to retain the exact same Samsung-branded 5x optical zoom lens that featured in the ST90. This yields approximately the same field of view as a 26mm to 130mm lens on a 35mm camera, while maximum aperture varies from f/3.3 to f/5.9 across the zoom range.
The only other change we're certain of in the Samsung ST93 is the addition of a new soft focus effect to the company's Smart Filter function. There's also a Magic Frame function that overlays a variety of templates on photos, a panorama shot function, and a 720p movie recording mode.
The Samsung ST93 has currently not been announced in the US market. Availability in certain other markets is set at June 2011, and pricing hasn't been disclosed. For more info, read our Samsung ST93 preview.
