OFOTO NAMED BEST OVERALL PHOTO SITE BY YAHOO! INTERNET LIFE MAGAZINE

Ofoto Also Wins for Best Digital Prints

EMERYVILLE, Calif. - April 19, 2001 - Ofoto, Inc. (www.ofoto.com), the online photography service, was named the best overall photo site by Yahoo! Internet Life in its May 2001 Web Lab: Gold Star sites review of the leading online photo sites. Ofoto also received the top honor for producing the best digital prints.

The review found that "Ofoto has the edge now," among the nine major sites tested, including Club Photo, Shutterfly, Snapfish and PhotoWorks. Ofoto was the only site to receive an 'A' grade and was singled out for its "excellent, vivid prints," as well as "extraordinarily fast service." The review found that "Ofoto offers some nifty tools to upload and enhance your images; better yet, the prints look great."

Yahoo! Internet Life is the largest consumer magazine covering the Internet, with more than 5.3 million monthly readers. The comprehensive Web Lab review examined the photo Web sites' ease of use and security, print and storage costs, film scanning resolution, and editing and enhancing features, along with the overall quality of the test prints submitted. The reviewers sent the same film and digital images to all the sites for the quality comparison and did not notify the sites in advance that they were conducting a review.

The magazine's editorial staff said Ofoto was chosen as a Gold Star Site "not only for excellence in past performance, but because we believe it represents the best of the Net as it will unfold in the future." The full article can be found at http://www.zdnet.com/yil/content/mag/0105/goldstar.html.

"The Ofoto team is thrilled to be recognized both as the best overall photo site and the best producer of digital prints by such a respected consumer lifestyle magazine," said James Joaquin, president and CEO, Ofoto, Inc. "Our goal has always been to provide the best quality prints on the Web, as well as make it easy for consumers, even those new to computers, to use our service. Winning the Gold Star Web Lab review from a major consumer magazine is an affirmation that our efforts are working."
