Steve posts DiMAGE S304 first look!

First samples from a pre-production S304 online at Steve's Digicams...
Our good friend Steve Sanders of the Steve's Digicams website has today posted a 'first-look' report on Minolta's DiMAGE S304 digital camera, a model we first told you about back at PMA 2001 in Orlando last February. The S304 features a 3.3 megapixel CCD image sensor and a 4x optical zoom lens, slightly more powerful than the 3x zooms found on most of its competitors.
Being a first-look, there are no conclusions drawn as yet - but there is plenty of info on the camera control and layout, as well as a number of sample images. Bear in mind though that, being from a pre-production camera, these images could differ significantly from what final models are capable of. They should demonstrate a good base-line as to what the camera can do though, so they're certainly still worth looking at if you're considering purchasing the S304...
