| Outdoor portrait: Good preservation of highlight detail, but slightly flat as a result. Decent detail for a VGA camera but (oddly), bright red of the rose shows more pixelation than other colors. | |||
| Indoor portrait, flash: Exceptional light sensitivity of the camera shows in how little the camera relies on light from the flash in this shot. - The flash is very subtle, providing only a slight fill, leaving most of the light coming from the scene. Still a very warm tone to the picture, but very delicate fill on the flash. | |||
| Indoor portrait, no flash: White balance leaves most of the warmth of incandescent in the image. Exceptional low-light sensitivity actually allows image capture in far dimmer surroundings than our brightly-lit interior. | |||
| House shot: Good detail, good color, relatively few compression artifacts. | |||
| "Musicians" poster: Good rendition of skin tones, good detail. | |||
| Macro shot: Good but not outstanding close-up capability. This shot taken with studio lighting, but on-board flash does good job up close. | |||
| "Davebox" test target: Accurate rendition of "MacBeth" color chart, no sensor overload problems around reflections of lights in pot lid, good highlight detail, moderate shadow detail. | |||
| "WG-18" resolution target: (Technoids only) - Visual resolution of ~450 line pairs/picture height, relatively little aliasing. | |||
| Viewfinder accuracy/flash uniformity target: Target is well-centered, showing good viewfinder alignment, flash uniformity is very good also. |
