Carl Zeiss preps photo contest

Oberkochen, Germany-based Carl Zeiss AG has today announced its 2011 Carl Zeiss Photo Contest, which is open to anybody shooting with Zeiss lenses.
Running for a month, from December 15 2011 to January 15 2012, the contest offers some pretty great prizes. The first prize winner gets their choice of ZEISS SLR lens with a special engraving, along with a Carl Zeiss T* UV filter, ZEISS Camera strap and Lens Cleaning Kit. The second-placed photo earns its creator a Nokia Lumia 800 smartphone, featuring a fixed focal length, f/2.2 Carl Zeiss-branded lens. Finally, the third-placed image will garner its photographer a Sony DSC-TX55 compact camera, which includes a Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar-branded, prism-folded 5x optical zoom lens.
To participate, photographers must visit the Official Carl Zeiss Lenses Group on Flickr, and submit themed photos shot with Zeiss lenses, and tagged with "ZEISSContest2011". The contest theme is "Every moment tells a story". After a jury selection, the best photos will be placed in a Flickr gallery for public voting, and the receipient of the most public votes wins the contest.
