Photographer launches photo tour to capture US National Parks with pinhole camera

Photographer Ashley Erin Somers is Kickstarting a photobook that's a decidedly different take on a dozen of the country's National Parks: she'll be shooting them with a pinhole camera. If succesfully funded, Somers will take her handmade pinhole to National Parks from California to Florida over the course of 37 days.
The plan is to head out in October, allowing her enough time to shoot all the parks prior to Thanksgiving, and then have the accompanying photobook ready in time for Christmas. Her complete itinerary of parks is:
- Pinnacles National Park
- Joshua Tree National Park
- Grand Canyon National Park
- Bryce Canyon National Park
- Zion National Park
- Rocky Mountain National Park
- The Alamo
- Sante Fe
- Big Bend National Park
- New Orleans
- Providence Canyon State Park
- Everglades National Park
Doing 12 parks in 37 days is a whirlwind tour, especially when you start to consider travel time in the mix. But if the photos that Somers has uploaded to the Kickstarter page are any indication, the results should be impressive.
However, the one problem is that she's a long way from reaching her goal. With just 10 days left on the clock, Somers needs almost $7,000 of her $10,000 required goal. If you're interested in backing her, you can get a digital copy of the book for just a $25 contribution, or $100 for the print edition. An actual signed print will set you back $50.
