Multiple exposure photography is nothing new. But in a world where we can do it considerably easy, both in-camera and via post production, it’s critical to know how multiple exposure photography works. Here to break down the basics is Tony Northrup and Chelsea.

In the nine-minute video, Chelsea breaks down every component of multiple exposure photography. She starts off by giving a slight history lesson on how multiple exposure photography was done in the analog days. She then dives into the process of creating a multiple exposure in-camera using a (compatible) DSLR.

Finally, she finishes the video up by showing how you can best customize and tweak a multiple exposure image by getting the job done in post-production.

Regardless of what medium and format you choose, this video has you covered – gone are the days of just snapping up two photos and hoping for the best.
