Are LED lights ready for primetime? Pro portrait photographer discusses LED lighting options

Photographer Joe Edelman has been spending the last month working with LED lighting in his studio as part of an "LED Lighting for Photography" video series. He has uploaded the final video in the series, which you can see below.

In this wrap-up video, Edelman discusses his previous work with LED lights and covers a variety of different LED lights such as Spiffy Spekular lighting, Savage Universal, Smith Victor, Paul C Buff and Yongnuo. LED lights are still gaining traction in the industry, but they have made large strides over the last few years. Edelman states that LED lights are easy to use, especially when learning lighting, because they are a continuous light source. You can see how your lighting setup affects your subject in real-time, which is not possible with a strobe lighting setup.
