Having a photography website is not only a great way to showcase your work, it can also be a means for improving your photography. Landscape photographer Andrew Marr says that you need to get out and shoot more if you want to improve your photography. This makes sense, but it's not always easy to get motivated to get out there. He argues that having a website is a good motivator for being a practiced photographer.

The video below has five ideas for how to use your own photography website to improve your work. The first tip is to regularly update and share your portfolio. By showing off your best work, you open yourself up to feedback, which is a great way to learn and improve. When you set specific targets for creating and publishing your work, you also create accountability for yourself which should help you be more regular with your shooting. To learn the rest of Marr's tips, watch his new video.
