Corel's Video Editing and Playback Software to Offer Enhanced Performance and Extended Battery Life

CES, Las Vegas - January 05, 2011 -- Corel today announced plans to boost the performance of its video products by taking advantage of the new AMD Fusion Family of Accelerated Processing Units (APUs). Upcoming versions of Corel® VideoStudio® Pro and Corel® WinDVD® Pro will be optimized for AMD's latest advancements to deliver a faster, more rewarding video editing and video playback experience and help push video editing mainstream.

"Finally, the right software and the right hardware are coming together to break down the barriers to consumer video editing on the PC," said Shawn Cadeau, Senior Vice President of Global Marketing at Corel. "Offering new levels of simplicity and creative freedom, the upcoming Corel VideoStudio Pro will take advantage of the impressive performance of the latest chips like AMD Fusion to change people's expectations of video editing.
