Dave Etchells has just filed another report live from the Photokina show floor, and this time takes a hands-on look at Kodak's just-announced 14 megapixel digital SLR.

The article contains a number of images of the camera from different angles, as well as screenshots of the camera's menu system. There's also an in-depth commentary from Dave as to what the announcement means for Kodak, Nikon (who provide some of the components used in the camera), and the companies' competitors. Hop on over to the DCS Pro 14n hands-on report, and get the full scoop.

We've also updated our previous article looking at Sigma's SD9 digital camera, which was posted on Thursday. Unfortunately Mike didn't receive Dave's extensive comments on the images when first preparing the article - but the oversight has been corrected, so even if you've already looked at the sample images you may want to revisit the item for some new info and insights from Dave.

Finally, note that we're continuing to update our Photokina report index pretty regularly. We're now up to a whopping 81 news items and press releases in the report, with more to come as the news rolls in. This is really turning out to be quite the exciting show!
