Conceiva Releases Lightbox 2.0

Conceiva has released Lightbox 2.0, a Windows file browsing and viewing product designed for creative professionals that handles "all image, web, document, video and audio file formats," according to the company.
Lightbox thumbnails and displays digicam file formats (JPEG, TIFF, Exif, etc.), displays image data (width, height, color depth, etc.), full Exif data, has full zoom in/out capability, pan, rotate and a very useful RGB/CMYK/Web color picker. "The most unique part of Lightbox," CEO Paul Schumann said, "is that it attaches itself to other applications -- such as Photoshop, Paintshop Pro, Corel, DreamWeaver, FrontPage, Word, anything... -- so now it is possible to have rich, visual file browsing with any application."

for creative professionals, has launched the new version of Lightbox.
Lightbox 2.0 marks the new generation of file management and browsing
tools targeted at creative consumers and creative professionals. With
its new features, new file support and enhanced performance, graphic
designers and web designers are able to find and view their files faster

* Instant Viewer has been added to enable fast viewing of full sized
images of files. You can zoom in and out, rotate the image, view
transparency, playback animated GIF and AVI files, get color
information, view detailed properties and more.
* Color picker has been added to allow you to capture colors (RGB,
CMYK and Web formats) in full sized images. Full support for ICM
RGB and CMYK color profiles is included to match your favorite
image editing application (such as Adobe Photoshop). Color
snapshots can be taken to store important colors. Color snapshots
can be copied and pasted into other applications.
* Macromedia Flash (SWF) support has been added to enable animated,
multi-page thumbnails of SWF files to be viewed. detailed

* True Type Font (TTF) support has been added to allow viewing of
TTF fonts. Detailed properties are also available.
* Desktop, Favorites and History tree view panes have been added for
quicker navigation.
* Favorites are now localized to your application like all other
settings.
* File type overlays can be displayed on thumbnails to better
understand the file type.
* Small images can be stretched to fit the thumbnail size. The
amount zoomed is displayed as an overlay on the thumbnail.
* Web files (HTML, ASP, etc.) are thumbnailed faster and better quality.
* More useful details are displayed in Properties dialog, such as
transparent color and alpha channel.
