ADOBE.GIF Adobe Releases Adjusted Refresh Plug-In

The free plug-in for Photoshop CS on OS X "addresses the time it takes to visually preview some filter updates," according to the company.

By reducing the size of the Photoshop image tiles, the Adjusted Refresh plug-in optimizes preview redraws for some filters in Photoshop CS. Updating smaller tiles reduces the time required to redraw a preview, Adobe said.

In addition, smaller tile sizes reduce the initial scratch disk usage after you launch Photoshop. But overall performance may be reduced for users with multiple processors or more than 1 gigabyte of RAM," Adobe added.
