PRESS RELEASE: Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America's Photo Imaging Division Announces The Immediate Availability Of X-Rite's ICC Profiles For Its Digital Color Printers

IRVINE, CALIFORNIA, July 6, 2005 - Mitsubishi's Photo Imaging Division and X-Rite (NASDAQ: XRIT) today reaffirmed their agreement to license ICC profiles created by X-Rite's award-winning MonacoPROFILER software into Mitsubishi's family of digital photo printers. This agreement provides professional photographers with higher levels of consistency and integration between photographic printers and original images. It also underscores Mitsubishi's commitment to seamless integration of advanced functionality into its line of category-leading printers.

"Today's agreement, coupled with the other programs we offer with our printer products, delivers superior value that will enable the professional photographer to be more efficient," said Margie Chiaramonte, Marketing Manager, Mitsubishi's Photo Imaging Division. "The agreement also provides our customers with a higher quality end-product. In essence, we are enabling a truer realization of their creative vision."

Mitsubishi Photo Imaging uses MonacoPROFILER software to build ICC profiles for their key digital photo printers, all of which offer high speed, high resolution photo quality prints. The ICC profiles greatly reduce the design-to-production cycle, saving time and money.

The wizard-like interface of MonacoPROFILER is the most intuitive color management solution available, offering professionals a single integrated ICC profiling system to provide the ultimate control in creating color profiles for input devices, monitors and color output devices. These ICC profiles can be downloaded from Mitsubishi's website.

Commenting on the announcement, William Bieger, Global Accounts Manager, X-Rite said, "This agreement represents a win-win situation for all involved. Industry leading ICC profiles by MonacoPROFILER will provide digital photography professionals using Mitsubishi photo printers a higher level of color fidelity for true image reproduction."

Mitsubishi digital photo printers provide high tech, valuable solutions to digital photographers across the spectrum. From its economical CP-3020DU, a high speed, high resolution printer that provides full 8 x 10 and 8 x 12 color prints, to the high-end CP-9550DW, an ultra fast, large volume digital printer with superb image quality and reliability, Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America offers a comprehensive line of digital printers to fit any photographer's business.
