An ultracompact model with no optical viewfinder in favor of a large 2.7" LCD display, the EX-Z500 features a five megapixel CCD imager and 3x optical zoom lens. Other features include SD/MMC storage and 8.7MB of built-in memory, while power comes from a proprietary Lithium Ion battery that Casio says is rated for 500 shots to CIPA standards, or 470 minutes of continuous playback. The camera comes with a bundled cradle offering USB 2.0 High-Speed and video output connectivity, which also recharges the battery. Plans for sale in the USA have not been announced at this time.
