PRESS RELEASE: Digital Foci "Image Moments" Wins "Hot One" Award For 2nd Year In A Row

“Image Moments 8” Digital Frame Honored by Professional Photographer magazine

January 7, 2008, Las Vegas, NV – Digital Foci, Inc. www.digitalfoci.com announced today at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas that it has won The Professional Photographer 2008 “Hot One” Award for the “Image Moments 8” digital photo frame. Winner for the second year in a row (the previous version of Image Moments IMT-081 won the 2007 Hot One Award), “Image Moments 8” (Model IMT-083) lets you display and share photos directly from digital camera memory cards at home or at the office on a selection of beautiful interchangeable picture frames. Just insert any digital camera memory card into the Image Moments frame and watch memories come to life in sharp, vibrant color on its big 8-inch high-resolution digital LCD screen.

As seen in magazines from Time, to Glamour and PC Photo, this new version of the popular Image Moments digital frame now features an 8” high-resolution 800 x 600 digital LCD screen with 500:1 contrast ratio for superior picture quality. The unique proprietary Adapter Ring design supports limitless custom framing options -- even your own custom frame. It also features an interchangeable mat with 3 color selections, a hinged memory card door to hide the cards from view for an elegant finish, and an easel leg for alternating between landscape and portrait positioning to make changing your home or office décor a snap.

On Image Moments 8, portrait photos are automatically rotated according to the EXIF data captured by the camera. In addition, the built-in auto-rotate orientation sensor automatically displays photos in the correct orientation according to the landscape or portrait orientation of the device. Other great new features include an automatic on/off timer, and advanced file management features. The folder structure lets you select specific folders to playback. You can also create, edit, and sequence multiple playlists directly on the device.

“This is a new addition to the Image Moments line that won the Hot One Award last year. The IMT-083 permits digital image display on a selection of interchangeable frames. Memory cards can be inserted directly into the unit, which displays them on an 8-inch, 800x600-pixel, digital LCD screen with 500:1 contrast ratio. With 256MB of internal memory, the new Image Moments frame can store as many as 1,500 photos. An auto slideshow feature allows images to scroll in a set sequence,” said Jeff Kent, Hot One Editor, Professional Photographer magazine.

About the Hot One Awards
The prestigious Hot One Awards honor the photography industry’s best new products for professional application. The mission of the award is to provide Professional Photographer magazine’s readership with a compendium of the newest, hottest, and most innovative products available. Each year, Professional Photographer editors oversee a submission and judging process that calls on companies in all subfields of the photography industry.

For the 2008 Hot One Awards, the judges were asked to vote only on categories that fit within their areas of expertise. For example, some judges voted on digital cameras, software and lighting equipment. Others voted on film, paper and presentation devices. By conducting the judging in this manner, Professional Photographer was able to provide a premium level of expertise for the judging of each category.
