Five Lucky Consumers Capture It All Through Exclusive Access at the World-Class Tennis Tournament

CENTER VALLEY, Pa., August 20, 2008 - Olympus Imaging America Inc. today announced the winners of its second annual national sweepstakes, which is sending five lucky tennis fans and their doubles partners on a weekend getaway (August 30-September 1, 2008) to New York City to experience the fast action and excitement of the 2008 US Open Tennis Championships. The winners of this dream trip are: Kristi Davenport of Lansing, MI; Ted Dehmer of Glendale, AZ; David Iorio of Hudson, NY; Anne Reilly of Berlin, CT; and Katelyn Sexton of Virginia Beach, VA.

Winners are receiving hotel, airfare, spending cash and two admission tickets to the world-class tennis tournament, including exclusive access to designated professional photography locations at the event, enabling them to capture the on-court and behind-the-scenes drama. They are shooting with the newly available E-420 and E-520 digital SLR (single lens reflex) cameras and Olympus’ flagship E-3 DSLR. The E-3 coupled with the 12-60mm lens offers the fastest autofocus technology and provides weatherproof and dustproof durability – perfect for professionals and photo enthusiasts shooting in the field.

The winners’ access to the tournament begins in the Olympus suite located at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, where they are coached by Olympus Visionary Jay Kinghorn, an award-winning photographer, on best techniques for shooting nonstop tennis action. Access also includes the Olympus Photographers’ Lounge and other elite locations. The ultimate experience is in the photographers’ pit, where the winners shoot alongside the professional photographers, capturing amazing up-close images.

“Olympus and the US Open are a perfect match, promoting active, healthy lifestyles,” said Mark Huggins, executive director, Brand Marketing, Olympus Imaging America Inc. “Our tough and rugged cameras – waterproof and dustproof, to name a few – enable consumers to take images in situations where other cameras can’t. Proof that Olympus let’s you capture it all.”
