Washington, DC, and New York, NY – October 24, 2008 – LTU technologies, the global leader in multimedia content control and search solutions, announced today its attendance at the 13th Annual Picture Archive Council of America (PACA) International Conference being held October 24 - 26, 2008 in New York City. LTU will be at the show to demonstrate its comprehensive image content control and search tools that enable photobanks to search, manage and protect their large databases of photographs or videos and their associated copyrights.

“The PACA Conference brings together the best and brightest in the stock photography industry from around the world. Organizations with large databases of royalty-free and rights-managed photos and stock archives, libraries of art and collections of entertainment images converge to share ideas, discuss trends and build relationships,” said Ray Owens, International Sales Director for LTU technologies. “We’re thrilled to be a part of the event and are looking forward to introducing LTU to many of the attendees who have not yet considered how they can better protect and leverage their visual assets. Whether they are providing content to advertising agencies, creative departments or college students working on an assignment, it’s imperative that these companies understand the benefits of a photo search and control solution and how it can ensure that their photos are easy to find, and are not being used without proper licensing.”

The PACA Conference comes on the heels of LTU’s latest release of LTU engine. LTU engine is a platform that packages LTU’s suite of image and video content control and search tools into one unified platform, using different complimentary layers of application programming interfaces (API).  LTU engine is able to quickly and efficiently organize, tag, search, filter and identify images and video within large databases. The new version also provides local matching and color search capabilities, as well as enhanced search speeds and video recognition capabilities.

PACA is the trade organization that represents the interests of stock archives, including individual photographers and large corporations, who license images for commercial reproduction. The PACA International Conference is the premier event for stock Industry professionals.
