Samsung Electronics USA has posted updated firmware for its three NX-mount lenses in the last few days, along with the initial firmware version for its Samsung NX10 single lens direct view digital camera.

The Samsung NX Lens Firmware v01.10 is applicable to the company's 30mm f/2.0, 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 OIS and 50-200mm f/4-5.6 ED OIS lenses. The sole listed change is that the firmware is said to improve autofocus accuracy. Detailed instructions on upgrading the firmware can be obtained by reading a PDF document on the Samsung Electronics website, but briefly the process involves copying the firmware to a flash card, then placing the card in the camera, attaching a lens, powering on and initiating the upgrade through the camera's menu system.

As well as the updated lens firmware, which is a tiny 73KB zipped download containing all three updates, Samsung has also released a download of the initial firmware version for the NX10 camera body. The NX10 camera firmware v01.00 is a 4.5MB zipped download, and is also accompanied by a PDF instruction document. Both firmware update zip archives can be found on the Samsung Electronics website.
