Hot on the heels of last month's update to its freshly overhauled RAW file converter, Bibble Labs has unveiled another incremental update that adds further Raw file support and lens calibration parameters.

Bibble 5 Pro first debuted at the end of December 2009, and February's update added or improved support for a dozen new cameras, plus a new Soft Proofing function. The new Bibble 5.0.2 rolls in the previous changes, and adds support for the Canon EOS Rebel T2i digital SLR (also known as the EOS 550D or EOS Kiss X4), as well as the Olympus E-PL1 single-lens direct view camera. In addition, lens calibration parameters have been added for the Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM, Nikkor 14-24mm f/2.8G ED AF-S Zoom and Nikkor 24-70mm f/2.8G ED AF-S Zoom lenses.

Bibble 5 Pro supports Windows XP, Vista and 7, Mac OS X 10.4 or greater, as well as both Linux Fedora Core 6 or later, and Ubuntu 6.06 or later. The program can accept Raw files from a wide variety of manufacturers, including Canon (except sRaw), Kodak, Leica, Minolta, Nikon, Olympus, Panasonic, Pentax, Ricoh, Samsung, and Sony, as well as RGB JPEG or TIFF files at resolutions of 30 megapixels or below, with a maximum dimension of 10,240 pixels on the longer side. The full list of supported file types can be found on the Bibble 5 specs page.

For new customers, a trial version of Bibble 5 Pro can be found in the Bibble Labs Download Center. Bibble 5 Pro can be purchased immediately, priced at US$199.95 for a license that covers all three operating systems. Bibble 5 Lite is not currently available for purchase, and Bibble 4 Lite is no longer available on the company's website, leaving the Pro version as the only option available to new customers for the time being.

More details can be found on the Bibble Labs website.
