Turn your 2D photos and videos into 3D!

FREMONT, Calif. -- (BUSINESS WIRE) -- ArcSoft, Inc., the world-leading multimedia software provider, announced today the release of a new version of its popular file converter application — ArcSoft MediaConverter® 7. Updates include enhanced device support, optimized conversion speed and quality, and can now turn your 2D photos and videos into 3D for playback on supported devices.

With ArcSoft’s Sim3D™, converting 2D videos and photos to 3D is a snap! Our technology supports L/R dual-stream 3D and anaglyph 3D file formats. Converted videos can be viewed with 3D players such as ArcSoft TotalMeida Theatre 3 (Plug-in required), which supports page flip, interleave, and anaglyph modes; or, be uploaded to YouTube 3D.

In a one-step process, MediaConverter 7 downloads and transfers your favorite multimedia files and converts them into formats optimized for use on the latest popular device such as iPad, Google Nexus One, Sony Ericsson Xperia X10, Motorola Milestone and many more. Other devices, such as the iPod, iPhone, PSP, Android phones, and Nokia phones are also supported.

ArcSoft’s in-house upscaling technology SimHD®, which improves image quality when upscaling videos during transcoding, is included with MediaConverter 7. With support of NVIDIA® CUDA™ and ATI® Stream™, the encoding process is 15 times faster when utilized. Settings to customize video format, resolution, and frame rate are also provided.
