September 9th, 2010, BOULDER, Colo. -- LifePics today released its LifePics for iPhone app, an industry-unique app that allows iPhone users to order prints within the app and pick the prints up at any retailer in the LifePics Network, often within an hour. The app, which is free to download and works on iPad and iPod Touch devices as well, is the first iPhone app that allows users to order prints from an iPhone and pick up the order at their favorite local photofinisher. Consumers choose which print sizes and quantities to order based on the retailer's offering, and specify a pick up location from over 10,000 stores in the LifePics Network. The app is part of LifePics' larger strategy to enable consumers to order prints through the LifePics Network from anywhere digital photos are stored and shared.

"The new version of the iPhone app is incredible," said Steve Elkins, Vice President at Bedford Camera and Video. "This truly revolutionizes the way people will use their iPhone for photography. A person in my area can now take a photo on their iPhone, order it to our store in a variety of print sizes, and pick it up in less than an hour. The app is smart enough to know which print sizes we offer, our store's contact information, and even can produce a map of exactly where our store is. We will certainly be promoting this app to our entire community, as we want every iPhone user in our area printing to our store. The app adds a new revenue stream to our business as well as increases foot traffic through our door."

Earlier this year, LifePics launched its OPEN Program as part of the company's strategy to send digital photo orders to LifePics retailers from a variety of sources, including mobile phones. The LifePics API, available to partners and developers accepted into the OPEN Program, allows developers to make multiple calls to the LifePics Network database to list specific store information and product offerings, and send confirmation emails when the order is placed and when it is ready for pick up. Orders are routed to the chosen store or lab and can be printed on any printing equipment. The LifePics for iPhone app allows users to order all photos on their iPhone, as well as any of their photos stored in a LifePics online account.

"This is truly an exciting milestone for our strategy of connecting every image to every retailer in our network," said Vahe Christianian, Vice President of Sales and Business Development at LifePics. "Developers are contacting us every day about integrating their photo apps with our network to send orders to our retailers and earn money on each order their app produces. Financially, everyone wins. With just a few clicks, iPhone users can turn their mobile photos into transactions for our retailers and third party developer partners."

LifePics drives more orders through more sources than any other online photo service. In 2010, LifePics launched its OPEN program, allowing third party app developers and affiliate web sites to link into the LifePics Retail Network, sending users, images, and orders to LifePics retailers from all over the Internet. LifePics also provides customers with a fun, user-friendly online experience to drive orders. Consumers can order thousands of products, including prints, photo books, personalized greeting cards, photo calendars, enlargements, gifts like photo mugs and mouse pads, and much more, all through a retail-branded, customizable web site.

The LifePics technology platform is an open solution that connects to virtually every printer, lab, and internal system, allowing retailers to customize their online order workflow into the format that works best for each retailer. Orders can be sent directly to stores for 1-hour service, or routed to major wholesalers, gift providers, photo book manufacturers, and an assortment of other service providers. The technology revolves around LifePics' custom client-based software tool, LabCenter, which operates at retail stores and offers superior integration between retail online ordering sites and photofinishing labs of all sizes and quantities.

As your partner, LifePics provide a new revenue stream in the fastest growing segment of the photo industry -- online-to-retail -- and offering expert services that no other solution provides: Live Help, 364 days a year; free, unlimited photo storage for consumers; custom email marketing campaigns; LifeSync, a photo syncing and backup tool; a commission-based revenue structure; and much more.

LifePics' customers include some of the industry's best brands in each of the following categories: mass merchants, large photo retail chains, food and drug chains, local camera shops, and independent photofinishers.
