Steve Sanders posts the first review of Sony's newest dye-sub printer...

Our good friends at Steve's Digicams have today posted the first review we've seen of Sony's DPP-SV77 dye sublimation printer, an interesting unit with built-in MemoryStick and PC Card slots for reading images from a variety of flash formats, and a large 3.2" LCD display for editing and reviewing images before they're printed... Just announced along with the DPP-SV88 printer, the DPP-SV77 is portable, although it does require a power source nearby as there is no provision for battery power. Steve concludes:
"The DPP-SV77 printer may be just the solution you're looking for if you've found it difficult to download and print your digicam images via a computer. It's as simple as: (1) insert your memory card, (2) scroll through the pictures on the color LCD screen, (3) pick one to print and press the PRINT button. It only takes about 90 seconds to produce a 4 x 6" print."
Steve promises to follow his DPP-SV77 review with another of the DPP-SV88 (which removes the portability and LCD screen, but adds a CD-RW drive for backing up images), coming soon...
