Leaked Image Reveals Three Upcoming Viltrox Prime Lenses

Viltrox’s rapid lens expansion shows no signs of slowing down. Just days after unveiling the AF 26mm F/2.8 EVO pancake lens, a leaked image has surfaced online revealing three more autofocus primes that appear to be nearing release.

According to Sony Alpha Rumors, the leaked image shows the upcoming AF 35mm F/1.4 Pro, AF 18mm F/1.2 Pro, and AF 40mm F/1.2 Pro. All three lenses have previously been teased by Viltrox, with the 35mm F/1.4 Pro making a public appearance during the China P&E 2026 trade show in May.

What We Know So Far

The AF 35mm F/1.4 Pro is expected to be a full-frame lens aimed at both photographers and videographers. According to previous reports, it will feature a metal construction and a voice coil motor (VCM) autofocus system, matching the design philosophy of the existing AF 50mm F/1.4 Pro and AF 85mm F/1.4 Pro.

The lens is also rumored to use a 77mm filter thread, allowing photographers to share filters across the Pro lineup. With focal lengths of 35mm, 50mm, and 85mm, Viltrox would offer a classic trio of fast prime lenses suitable for street photography, documentary work, portraits, weddings, and event photography.

Expanding the APS-C Pro Series

The leaked image also includes the AF 18mm F/1.2 Pro and AF 40mm F/1.2 Pro, both designed for APS-C mirrorless cameras.

These would join Viltrox’s growing lineup of premium APS-C primes, which already includes the AF 27mm F/1.2 Pro, AF 56mm F/1.2 Pro, and AF 75mm F/1.2 Pro.

With a full-frame equivalent focal length of approximately 27mm, the 18mm F/1.2 would be well suited to landscapes, travel, street photography, environmental portraits, and astrophotography. Its bright aperture should also make it a capable option for handheld shooting in low light.

Meanwhile, the 40mm F/1.2 offers an angle of view roughly equivalent to 60mm on full frame, placing it between a standard and portrait lens. That focal length makes it a versatile choice for portraits, documentary photography, street shooting, and everyday use, while the f/1.2 aperture provides strong subject isolation and excellent low-light performance.

A Busy Year for Viltrox

The leak follows an active year for Viltrox as the company continues expanding its autofocus lens lineup across multiple mounts and sensor formats. In recent months, Viltrox has introduced new full-frame, APS-C, and Micro Four Thirds lenses while steadily growing its Pro, LAB, and Air series.

If the leaked image accurately reflects products nearing launch, photographers can likely expect official announcements in the near future.

Pricing and Availability

Viltrox has not announced pricing or release dates for the AF 35mm F/1.4 Pro, AF 18mm F/1.2 Pro, or AF 40mm F/1.2 Pro.

However, with all three lenses now appearing in leaked promotional imagery after being previewed at China P&E 2026, an official unveiling is likely not far away.
