1 out of 10 points and not recommended
    Don't know
Absolutely useless in low light situations

I bought the lens especially to be able to do low light AF shooting without a flash. What a disappointment... For this purpose the lens is useless, a waste of money, despite it's very low price. I think not even 1 photo out of several hundreds was focused well...

On a cloudy winter day (like it is now), at 1.00 PM, this is a little better. Maybe 1 out of 10... But even now, the lens is hunting for focus continuously, none of the red lights of one of the focus points indicating correct focus -EOS 350D- lightens up (at 1/500 sec and f/5.6!!!!), sometimes the complete focus range is hunted...

What shall I say? Don't know... Wasted money?
Maybe the lens is broken. Maybe. Is there anybody overhere who thinks this is such bad behaviour that it MUST be broken? But I've read some reviews in the meantime talking about the same problem (see below), although not as seriously as I've experienced. I should have read the reviews before...
