10 out of 10 points and recommended
Sharp, very durable, super fast focus
    Heavy

I totally love this lens. I have it since 2010 and until now works like a charm. Even though it's a bit heavy and with a Nikon d3s is 3kg I am always amazed by it. I use it mostly at the getting ready photos, church and at the photo sessions. I remember I have smash it against a stone wall while i was falling end except some scratches on the hood it still works like a charm! Check out some examples: Hochzeitsfotograf Frankfurt

  • Nikon 85mm f/1.8D AF Nikkor

9 out of 10 points and recommended
    size price lightweight
    soft at 1/8 slow focus

I have this lens for about 8 years. it's my all around portrait lens but it took some time untill I got used not to use it wide open because it is very soft. Go up a bit till 2.2 and this will become very sharp. I like it a lot to use it in low light environments like churches. More photos with this lens are on my blog Hochzeitsfotograf Frankfurt

  • Nikon 28mm f/1.4E ED AF-S Nikkor

    Sharp, fast focus, amazing bokeh
hmm..not as wide as the 24

I have this lens. since last and until now works very well. What I like the most about it is that is very well built, focus is fast and amazingly sharp. I had a 24 from Sigma art and I hated the focus. Here I didn't have any problems. Check out some examples: Hochzeitsfotograf Frankfurt

  • Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 AT-X 116 PRO DX SD

sharp, fast, small, it works even on FX
    none

I have this lens since 10 years. Back then I was shooting on DX. The Lens behaved wonderfully. I felt in love so much with it that, after I have switsched to FX i still use it! Yes you can use the Tokia 11-16 as a 16mm Full frame lens. It's not necessarily too sharp but it's ok for wide angle photos. On my old D3s it behaves good. Sometimes it misses focus but ... it's on full frame! Check out some examples: Hochzeitsfotograf Fulda
