  • Sony FE 50mm f/1.8 SEL50F18F

7 out of 10 points and recommended
    Cheap, lightweight, good IQ
Very slow AF, vignetting, soft wide open

Very good sharpness all across the frame only at f/5.6 and vignetting between f/1.8 to f/4. Still a good value for the price.

6 out of 10 points and recommended
Good value for the price, Macro 1:2, small
    CA, Soft at 300mm, AF

Very decent cheap lens with great colour rendering and good sharpness until 200mm. Too soft with CA at 300mm. AF is a bit slow and noisy.

  • Nikon 70-200mm f/4G ED VR AF-S Nikkor

9 out of 10 points and recommended
Fast AF, High sharpness, Colors, VR, Lightweight
    Distortion, no tripod collar

This lens is still a must have for full frame cameras and portraits. AF is very fast and silent. And you can find it for a cheap price now.
Look at the high sharpness with this meerkat photo
    or this fish sample photo
And it works great with new Z series mirrorless cameras.

  • Tamron 100-400mm f/4.5-6.3 Di VC USD

9 out of 10 points and recommended
    - Lightweight - Stabilisation - Performance - Price - Fast focus
    - Sharpness at 400m - Vignetting

Good level of performance except at the longest focal. I like this lens for freehand shooting, thanks to lightweight and stabilisation.

  • Sigma 105mm f/2.8 EX DG Macro

8 out of 10 points and recommended
    Low price, Sharp, Lightweight
    Slow AF

Very high optical quality for the price. Still an amazing lens if you don't use AF

  • Tamron 90mm f/2.8 Di MACRO 1:1 VC USD SP

8 out of 10 points and recommended
    - Design and handling - Optical quality - Optical stabilisation - Level of sharpness in center at 2.8 - Weather resistant
    - Generic bokeh style - Lack of sharpness between center and edges at widest apertures - Vignetting at f/5.6 - Chromatic aberrations on edges

If you're looking for the best sharpness and shooting all photos on the go, freehand, it's an amazing macro lens. But for me the bokeh character has not enough "personality" compared to the old Sigma 105mm...
