John Cowley advises on how to correct the dreaded 'pancake makeup' effect - unrealistic flesh tones in an otherwise great image...
Our friends over at the Lonestardigital.com website dropped us a note with news of an addition to their 'tech corner' section:
"I just posted a new article with a step-by-step tutorial on my "Tech Corner" page for correcting the all too common harsh orange, yellow, and red skin tones we all encounter at times when taking flash pictures, or pictures in the late afternoon sun. John's excellent item is targetted at users of Adobe Photoshop, but some of the rival image editors offer similar tools with which the same effect could be achieved. You can find John's tutorial here...
The correction procedure specifically addresses the "pancake makeup" look.
I've been using (and refining) it for quite a while now, and wanted to share it with our readers."
