The General Electric A830 offers eight megapixel resolution, a 36 - 108mm equivalent 3x optical zoom lens, a 2.5" LCD display with 153,600 pixels, and ISO sensitivity to a maximum of 3200.

Other A830 features include in-camera panoramic stitching, red-eye removal, 9-point AF with face-tracking, 30 frames-per-second VGA MPEG4 movie mode and SDHC compatibility (up to 4GB). A830 exposure modes include Auto and Macro, plus 12 scene modes including Sport, Kids & Pets, Party/Indoor, Foliage, Snow, Beach, Fireworks, Aquarium, Portrait, Night Portrait, Landscape and Anti-Handshake.

The GE A830 uses two standard AA batteries (with alkaline disposables in the product bundle), offers USB and NTSC / PAL video connectivity, and includes both 26MB of built-in memory and an SD / MMC card slot.

Pricing and availability of the GE A830 have not been announced at this time. The A830 will be offered in black, red, blue, white and silver finishes.
