The Kodak EasyShare V1233 and V1253 are closely related cameras with 12 megapixel resolution and 3x SCHNEIDER-KREUZNACH branded optical zoom lens. Both cameras have a high-res 16:9 video mode at 30 fps described as "720p". The lower-cost V1233 offers a 2.5-inch LCD display, while the V1253 uses a larger 3.1-inch display. The only other difference of note is that the V1253 weighs about 5 grams more.
Other features common to both the V1233 and V1253 include Face Detection Technology, which automatically adjusts the camera’s settings for optimal portrait shots, Digital Image Stabilization to reduce blur caused by camera shake or subject movement, a sleek design, and simple-to-use controls.
Both digital cameras ship August 2007, with the V1233 priced at about US$250 and the V1253 at about US$300.
