Announced alongside the EX-Z120 model (and closely related to the EX-Z10 model sold in Europe), the Casio EXILIM EX-Z110 captures images with a six megapixel imager and 38 - 114mm equivalent 3x optical zoom lens. The Casio Z110 includes 8.7MB of built-in memory as well as SD/MMC storage, and draws its power from two AA batteries. USB 2.0 Full Speed connectivity offers the same transfer speeds as the USB 1.1 connections still offered on some cameras, although most cameras these days offer a much faster USB 2.0 High Speed connection.

The Casio EX-Z110 includes an optical viewfinder - an increasingly rare feature these days, but one that can save your day when framing accuracy isn't vital - letting you save battery life, or get the shot when using the LCD isn't feasible. When accuracy is important though, you can switch to the 2.0" LCD display (which has a lower-than-average resolution of just 84,960 pixels) to ensure your subject is positioned exactly how you intend.

The Casio Z110 reached US shores in September 2005, priced at $279.
