The Olympus M. Zuiko Digital ED 12-50mm f/3.5-6.3 EZ lens. Photo provided by Olympus Imaging America Inc.Olympus has released updated firmware for the M. Zuiko Digital ED 12-50mm f/3.5-6.3 EZ zoom lens. Announced last December, the M.Zuiko 12-50mm is the company's first to include a power zoom feature, and is also weather-sealed.

There are only two change listed in the release notes for firmware version 1.1. The first is improved stabilizer performance for macro shooting with the Olympus EM-5, the company's first OM-D series camera. The second is support for the Zoom Resume function on Panasonic cameras, which is similar to Olympus' own RESET LENS OFF function.

Details on performing the upgrade vary depending on your chosen Four Thirds-mount camera body, so you'll want to visit the Joint update service for OLYMPUS E-SYSTEM website for more details...
