If you're a fan of geotagging, and you have a GPS-capable Lumix digital camera from Panasonic, you might want to take a moment to check if there's an update available for your camera. No less than eight closely-related models were updated today, and in each case the new firmware relates to the camera's GPS functionality.

For five models, the new firmware is said to improve the cameras' ability to record GPS track logs. Panasonic also suggests that other changes have been made, but doesn't specify what these might entail. The updated models and their download links are as follows:

In all eight cases, the new firmware updates take the cameras to version 1.1. More details including information on checking your current firmware version and installing the new firmware can be found by clicking on the camera names above.
