Careful composition: Serge Ramelli breaks down the composition of some of his favorite photographs

 

 

Photographer Serge Ramelli knows a lot about photography. He's been a professional photographer and educator for a long time and his YouTube channel is a great resource of excellent content.

Ramelli is in Albuquerque for the annual Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta, which is presented by Canon. It's an incredible spectacle with a huge number of hot air balloons simultaneously taking to the sky. Serge has been capturing a lot of great photographs and his newest video discusses how he shot some of his favorites and why he chose the compositions he did.

Composition and light are major components of any good image so it's interesting to hear what Serge was thinking before and during capture and understand what he wanted to convey to the viewer.
