Lost that CD or just want an updated version? Newsletter Editor Mike Pasini is your new connection for digital imaging drivers and manuals...

I can't count the number of emails I get from people wanting to know why their digicam stopped working with Windows Me, XP, or whatever. Or the number from people who've just lost the CD that came with the camera and want to know where to download driver software from. Judging from that email, I'd say that getting digicam owners connected up with current driver software for their cameras is one of the biggest user-satisfaction issues in the industry.

As our part to help with this problem, newsletter editor Mike Pasini scoured the web for download pages for driver software from a *wide* range of manufacturers. He came up with a list of over *60* links, organized them neatly by category and manufacturer, and wrote an article to accompany it that explains what drivers are, why you need them, and how to go about finding them yourself.

We're going to link this article in a lot of places around the site over the next week or so, since it seems to address such a critical need. But if you want to visit it right now, just click here! (Kudos to Mike P. for the outstanding job pulling all this together. His psychologist reports he's recovering nicely in the aftermath. ;-)

Oh - A very important note, too: This is an ongoing project! If you come across a source of driver downloads for an imaging-related product that *isn't* on Mike's list, email him at [email protected], and he'll add it. We really want this to be a resource for the entire community, and need your help to keep it current and growing. Thanks!
